EF Find ist ein Suchprogramm mit Volltextsuche, HEX-Sequenzen und regulärer Ausdrucke in beliebigen Dateien, auch innerhalb von 7-Zip-, ACE-, ARC-, ARJ-, BZIP2-, CAB-, CPIO-, GZIP-, IMG-, ISO- (ISO9660), LHA-, RAR-, RPM-, SFX-, SQX-, TAR-, TBZ-, TGZ-, TXZ-, XZ-, ZIP-, Zip64- und ZOO-Archivdateien. EF Find kann als eigenständige Applikation oder in Verbindung mit dem EF Commander eingesetzt werden. Wird das Programm aus dem EF Commander heraus gestartet, dann findet eine enge Kommunikation zwischen beiden Programmen statt: EF Commander startet die Suche im aktuellen Pfad und die EF Find Funktion 'Gehe zu' setzt die Anzeige im Commander auf die gewünschte Datei oder in das gewünschte Verzeichnis.
