Durch das Verbinden von mehreren virtuellen COM Ports können Datenübertragung zu einem physischen COM Port umgeleitet werden und ermöglichen so, dass ihre Anwendung zeitgleich Daten von allen virtuellen COM Ports durch den physischen COM Port erhalten kann. Die Anwendung unterstützt das Erstellen und Verwalten von komplexen Port-Paketen. Dieses ermöglicht die Zwei-Wege-Übermittlung von Serial-Daten von unendlich vielen virtuellen und physischen Ports. Anwendungen die nur eine bedingte Anzahl an Serial Ports nutzen kann, können von der Switcher-Funktion profitieren. Sie ermöglicht, dass mehrere physische Ports zu einem virtuellen Port verbunden werden können. Durch die Erstellung eines Switchers kann ihre Anwendung jeglichen freien Serial Port nutzen, wenn Daten gesendet oder empfangen werden müssen. Mit dem Virtual Serial Port Driver können Sie eine Loopback-Verbindung erstellen, um eine serielle Kommunikation einzurichten, bei der serielle Daten von derselben seriellen Schnittstelle gesendet und empfangen werden. Der Zusammenschluss von Serial Ports ist eine weitere fortgeschrittene Funktion in Virtual Serial Ports Driver. Diese Option ermöglicht es ihnen unendliche viele physische und virtuelle Ports zu einem einzigen Port-Paket zusammenzuführen, welches in „In“ und „Out“ aufgeteilt ist.
