WinImage 8 kopiert Disketten mit normaler oder hoher Kapazitat (DMF). Das Programm liest komplette Datentrager ein, speichert Sie als Abbildungsdateien (Images) auf der Festplatte zum Kopiern und zur Produktion von Disketten. Die Abbildungsdateien konnen direkt im Arbeitsspeicher bearbeitet werden: leere Images erzeugen, Dateien extrahieren, hinzufugen und loschen, Images defragmentieren, komprimieren (ZIP-kompatibel), Kommentare hinzufugen und wechseln des Datentrager-Formates. Batch-Funktion mit Assistent, Wizzard, Kommandozeilen-Optionen und Erstellung selbstextrahierender Abbildungen in der Professional Version.
